Downtown Sounds has been going strong as an influential gathering throughout the Bellingham
Bellingham is a city of excitement in a subdued form and this is
What We Create
Integration through a community Music & Arts Gathering that celebrates the end of Summer’s sun filled antics along with local & national acts, artists, and vendors placed conveniently in the heart of Bellingham.
Integrating the Arts
In an effort to create a difference through an all encompassing, community event, Summer’s End integrates music lovers throughout the Pacific Northwest with community outreach through various mediums.
Mural Art Walk
Bellingham based artists will be creating four different large-scale art installments to be displayed at galleries across Downtown Bellingham and auctioned off with all proceeds going to a local charity of the artists choice.
A variety of local musicians will be paired with regional and national talent in order to create a cultural blend of music that can be enjoyed by a diverse audience.
A taste of Bellingham’s local shops and restaurants will be highlighted throughout the experience, shedding light on what makes the city’s culture unique, while bringing exposure towards what the community has to offer.
Summer’s End will be moving into a new home, in the eclectic Downtown neighborhood of Maritime Heritage Park Bellingham come 2017.
We hand picked this location due to the fact that our movement is something that transfers the feelings of community, integration, and social reach in a way where it will be long lasting, far past the date of the experience. Our goal is to beautify the downtown area through a memorable and safe event, thus changing the atmosphere of the public space for years to come.
A Bright Future
2016’s inaugural Summer’s End Gathering took place at Larrabee State Park’s famed amphitheater. The experience attracted nearly 300 attendees throughout the day as a community celebration of the Summer months winding down.
